Harry Henderson

Head of Education & Membership

Starting out as a tractor, combine and crop sprayer operator. Harry then worked for Rothamsted Research before coming Farm Manager at Monsanto Cambridge. From there he took a role with John Deere UK Ltd as a Crop Systems Specialist involved in technical dealer sales support in combine harvester, crop sprayer and precision farming products. In 2013 Harry joined AHDB as a regional manager for the North of England, becoming Technical Knowledge Exchange Manager with a focus technical knowledge exchange, mechanisation, soil and crop management, future technology, and all aspects of arable farming.

Based in Warwickshire with his wife, two stepsons and many animals, in his spare time Harry is busy restoring his 1917 International Titan tractor amongst many other restoration projects, either vintage tractor or Land Rover based.>

Emiel Grobbler

Technical Manager

With more than 20 years of experience across agriculture, environmental management, sales and contract management, Emiel Grobler brings a practical industry perspective to BASIS.

Emiel works closely with NRoSO members, training providers, industry bodies and regulators to strengthen professional standards and support ongoing professional development. He has also been closely involved in developing the 2026/27 NRoSO Professional Update, focusing on Adjuvants and Water Conditioners, and delivers training to help sprayer operators apply best practice in their day-to-day work.

Originally from South Africa and now based in Suffolk, Emiel enjoys cricket, writing, church leadership and spending time with his wife, children and foster children.

Kerry Brown

Education & Membership Manager

Kerry has been with BASIS since 2014 starting as an administrator in the Exams & Training Department before progressing to her current role as Education, Training and Membership Manager. In her role Kerry leads the education and membership departments, managing professional registers including the NRoSO Register, training courses, and continuing professional development (CPD) for industry members.

Outside of work Kerry enjoys listening to music, photography and spending time with her family .

Rebecca Orme

Senior Customer Service Adviser

Bex joined the BASIS Membership Team in February 2025. She has a background in customer service, having worked for Sainsbury’s for over ten years, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Zoology. She supports BASIS and NRoSO members with a wide range of membership enquiries, ensuring they receive friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable support.

Outside of work, Bex is happiest in the mountains. She enjoys rock climbing with her partner and mountaineering club and recently travelled to the French Alps to begin learning alpine climbing.
